Who we are
This website, www.martarsearch.co.uk, is run by Martar Consulting Limited (“Martar Search Solutions”, “we”). Registered in England and Wales, company number 08617786. Registered office: Mmt, Pillow Way, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, MK18 7RQ, United Kingdom.
We decide how the details described here are used, so we are their controller under UK data protection law. You can reach us at ContactUs@martarsearch.co.uk. ICO registration number: ZC280276.
What we collect
If you send the contact form, we receive:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your website’s address, if you give it;
- your message.
We do not ask for anything else.
When you visit a page, Google Cloud, which hosts this website, records the request in our server logs: the address of the page, the time, your IP address, the description your browser gives of itself (its user agent), and the page that linked to ours, if your browser sends it.
To stop the contact form being misused, the server also counts the messages sent from each IP address in the last hour. It keeps that count only in its memory, never in a file or a database.
Why we use it
We use what you send through the form to reply to you and, if you want our help, to talk about your website. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests: replying to the enquiry you sent us. If you ask us for a proposal, it is taking the steps you asked for before a contract.
We use the server logs to keep this website working and secure, for example to find errors and stop misuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running a working, secure website.
You do not have to give us your details, but without an email address we cannot reply. We make no automated decisions about you from what you send us.
Who else handles it
These companies handle your details for us, on our instructions:

Details sent to Resend leave the United Kingdom. They are protected by Resend’s certification under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and by the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in its data processing agreement.
How long we keep it
- Your enquiry, in our mailbox: 12 months after our last message about it. If it leads to work together, we keep it with that work’s records.
- Resend’s copy of the message it delivered: 30 days.
- The server logs: 30 days.
- The count of messages per IP address: only while the server is running. It is never saved.
Your rights
You can ask us:
- for a copy of the details we hold about you;
- to correct them;
- to delete them;
- to limit how we use them.
You can also object to our using them. Write to ContactUs@martarsearch.co.uk. There is no charge, and we will reply within one month, as the law requires.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and has no analytics or advertising tools. Its fonts and images come from this website itself, not from other companies.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we will change its “Last updated” date.
